Strategy
GRAM VIKAS has been implementing all its activities at the grass root level. The strategy for each activity was to reach target people at their place. The organization, before undertaking any project, did need assessment survey at village level. This helped the organization realize kind of interventions needed to get rid of issues existed in all those villages. GRAM VIKAS, after finding out problems, decided to take up intervention strategies in the fieldsof health, education, andsocial &economic status of rural women.
GRAM VIKAShas involved local people to the maximum extent which in turn led to the effective implementation of all its activities. All sections of society including women, children, youth and farmers were made take active part in activities leading their benefit.Each activity undertaken by the organization was followed by subsequent follow up meets, which ensured quality impact on the right people.It has under taken several development & welfare activities with the support from State Governments & their statutory bodies.
Another important strategy that GRAM VIKAS adopted for impactful implementation of its activities was formation of women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and involving enthusiastic women in all the spheres of program such as decision making, planning and implementation.
Geography
The development and welfare activities that GRAM VIKAS undertook were spread across number of villages of state of Karnataka. With limited number of villages in the beginning stage, the activities later were extended to number of villages across the state.
